5. Make ready 1 clove of Fresh garlic.
6. Prepare 1 can of 15 oz. stewed tomatoes.
7. Make ready 1 can of 15 oz. tomato sauce.
8. You need 4 can of 15 oz (each) pinto beans.

1. Brown hamburger in a 6 qt. pan..
2. Dice and add onions while hamburger is browning..
3. Add cans of tomato sauce and stewed tomatoes followed by 2 cans of water..
4. Then add the seasoning packets of salt, chili powder, and cayenne, but reserve the packet of masa for later..
5. Open, drain, and add all 4 cans of pinto beans last and stir..
6. Add the 1/2 teaspoon of cumin now..
7. Transfer chili to crockpot to simmer for 2 and 1/2 hours. At the end of that time, if chili is not thick enough for your taste, add masa and stir. I do not use the masa. I prefer a thinner chili. Garnish with grated cheese or fritos or serve with cornbread..
