Sting Ray Fish Gravy Recipe. A spicy, stingray gravy, a very common dish in Malaysia. Easy to cook especially if you can get the ready-made curry powder.

Ingredients of Sting Ray Fish Gravy

  1. Take 1/2 kg of sting ray fish.
  2. It’s 4 of onions.
  3. Take 2 of tomatoes.
  4. Take 2 of green chillies.
  5. Take 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste.
  6. You need 2 sprig of curry leaves.
  7. Take 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.
  8. Make ready 2 tsp of red chilli powder.
  9. You need 1/2 tsp of cumin powder.
  10. You need 1/2 tsp of coriander powder.
  11. Make ready 1/2 cup of thick coconut milk.
  12. Prepare To taste of Salt.
  13. Prepare 2 of green brinjal.
  14. Prepare 1/3 cup of chopped coriander.

You also can use your own mix fresh curry paste.Stingray Fish Gravy / Village Food Factory.Coat sting ray pieces (or other fish) with the paste.Place each piece on a large banana leaf/foil.

Sting Ray Fish Gravy instructions

  1. Heat oil in kadai and add curry leaves, green chillies and onion..
  2. Saute till onion becomes translucent and add ginger garlic paste to it…
  3. Then add finely chopped tomatoes, mix it well..
  4. Add salt,turmeric powder,red chilli powder,coriander powder cumin powder…mix all together for 2 mins and add fish..
  5. After adding fish, add brinjal and coconut milk.Close the kadai with the lid for 8-10 minutes or till the oil whoos out by the sides..keep it in medium flame..
  6. Garnish with some chopped coriander and serve…

You can use just about any fish however I especially love using stingray meats whenever it is available.A spicy, stingray gravy, a very common dish in Malaysia.Easy to cook especially if you can get the ready-made curry powder.

Spread remaining spice mixture over fish.Add in the tamarind water and salt stir well.Slow down the flame and let this simmer for a while.When the gravy turn a bit thick add in the fish and let it cook.Last add in the tomato and cook for a while and remove from the heat.
