Sting Ray Fish Gravy Recipe. A spicy, stingray gravy, a very common dish in Malaysia. Easy to cook especially if you can get the ready-made curry powder.

Ingredients of Sting Ray Fish Gravy
- Take 1/2 kg of sting ray fish.
- It’s 4 of onions.
- Take 2 of tomatoes.
- Take 2 of green chillies.
- Take 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste.
- You need 2 sprig of curry leaves.
- Take 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.
- Make ready 2 tsp of red chilli powder.
- You need 1/2 tsp of cumin powder.
- You need 1/2 tsp of coriander powder.
- Make ready 1/2 cup of thick coconut milk.
- Prepare To taste of Salt.
- Prepare 2 of green brinjal.
- Prepare 1/3 cup of chopped coriander.
You also can use your own mix fresh curry paste.Stingray Fish Gravy / Village Food Factory.Coat sting ray pieces (or other fish) with the paste.Place each piece on a large banana leaf/foil.
Sting Ray Fish Gravy instructions
- Heat oil in kadai and add curry leaves, green chillies and onion..
- Saute till onion becomes translucent and add ginger garlic paste to it…
- Then add finely chopped tomatoes, mix it well..
- Add salt,turmeric powder,red chilli powder,coriander powder cumin powder…mix all together for 2 mins and add fish..
- After adding fish, add brinjal and coconut milk.Close the kadai with the lid for 8-10 minutes or till the oil whoos out by the sides..keep it in medium flame..
- Garnish with some chopped coriander and serve…
You can use just about any fish however I especially love using stingray meats whenever it is available.A spicy, stingray gravy, a very common dish in Malaysia.Easy to cook especially if you can get the ready-made curry powder.
Spread remaining spice mixture over fish.Add in the tamarind water and salt stir well.Slow down the flame and let this simmer for a while.When the gravy turn a bit thick add in the fish and let it cook.Last add in the tomato and cook for a while and remove from the heat.
