Ingredients of Matar paneer
- It’s 200 gms of Paneer.
- Prepare 2 of Onions medium sized.
- It’s 2 of Tomatoes medium sized.
- You need 10 gms of Butter.
- Take as required of Garam Masala homemade(cinnamon, cloves, cardomom, peppercorn).
- It’s 1 tbsp of Ginger garlic paste.
- Take 1 tsp of Turmeric powder.
- Make ready 1 tsp of Coriander powder.
- Make ready 1 tsp of Red chilli powder.
- Take 1 of Dry red chilli.
- Take 4-5 of cashewnuts.
- Take as per taste of Salt.
- You need 100 grams of Peas.
- It’s 1/2 tsp of Maggi Masala (optional).
I tried this recipe after I tasted this at my friend Sangeeta's place.Loved it very much and asked her the recipe for it.Here is a simple matar paneer recipe punjabi style.Matar paneer is a regular dish in Punjabi households.
Matar paneer step by step
- Take a pan, add butter heat well pour cube of paneer, till it turns light brown take it out and keep aside..
- In the same pan add finely chopped onion saute it add the ginger garlic paste, mix till the raw smell goes, add dry red chilli paste, cashew paste, add tomato puree and mix all well..
- Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, salt to taste and mix well, cook in low flame for 5 mins add peas and saute it in medium flame add 1/2 glass of water and leave till it boils..
- Add paneer cubes, add Maggi Masala and homemade garam masala..
- Turn off the stove. Can serve with hot chapati, Paratha or any breads..
