Ingredients of Hyderabad Chicken Dum Briyani
- Take 1 kg of Chicken.
- Prepare 1 cup of Curd.
- Prepare of Green chilly.
- Prepare of Onion 5 no.
- Prepare of Tomato 1 no.
- Take 2 tsp of Ginger garlic paste.
- It’s 1 tsp of Garam masala.
- It’s 1 tsp of Red chilly powder.
- You need 1 tsp of Chicken masala.
- It’s 1 tsp of Briyani Masala.
- Take of Spices.
- Take leaves of Mint.
- Prepare leaves of Coriander.
- You need 1 tsp of Turmeric Powder.
- You need of Salt.

Hyderabad Chicken Dum Briyani step by step
- Mariantion. Mariate the chicken with curd, green chillies, ginger garlic paste turmeric powder, garam masala, Chicken masala, Red chilly powder, mint and coriander leaves. Little salt. Mix it. Marinate for 30 mints.
- In a pan, heat oil. Add onion. Fry it till it is brown color. Keep it aside.
- In PRESSURE cooker.Heat oil, add remaining onions and green chillies. Saute it till it is transparent. Add little tomato(optional). Then ginger garlic paste. Saute well till it's raw smell goes.
- Add mint and mint and coriander leaves. Little briyani masala and add salt..
- Add marinated chicken into this and cook for 4 minutes.
- Meanwhile, boil water in a heavy bottomed pan. Add oil, salt and ghee. As well as bay leaves and all spices into it. If want add mint and coriander leaves also.
- Once water boiled, add soaked basmati rice. Once it is half cooked, strain the water and let it cool off.
- Once chicken marinated gravy starts cooking, add rice in a layer, following ghee, fried onion and mint coriander leaves alternatively.
- Add saffron milk or food color..
- Close the cooker with whistle.. keep the flame in medium flame for 5 mints. Low flame for 5 min.
- Once Briyani ready, serve it with Rita. I used carrot onion raita.
